Construction Equipment Transport in Central Florida

Skid steer ready for transport

Construction equipment is the core of the book. Excavators, dozers, loaders, rollers, compact machines when they are part of a bigger move, and mixers when they fit the deck. Maximum Heavy Transport hauls that iron from Frostproof across Central Florida. 24 hours. 863-632-7302.

Rental companies use us for fleet moves. GCs use us when a machine has to leave one pad and start another before lunch. We haul up to 82,000 pounds on an RGN or lowboy.

Excavator Transport

Excavator transport is usually a mid-size or large machine going between a dealer and a commercial hole. We prefer the boom down and the house locked. If you want it to travel with a thumb or a hammer on, tell us so we can measure width.

Compact excavators move often when subdivisions open. The big ones still need the lowboy. If you have three machines and one trailer day, we can talk about a sequence. We will not stack past the deck rating.

Heavy Machinery Hauling

Heavy machinery hauling covers the pieces that sit too heavy for a hotshot. Highway work, warehouse pads, and phosphate-adjacent jobs bring those machines. We weigh what we can and take the manufacturer sheet when we cannot.

This section is weight. If the problem is only height and the weight is easy, the lowboy page is the deck conversation. If the load is also over legal size, the oversized page is the permit conversation.

Equipment Hauling

Equipment hauling is the rental desk’s problem. A loader due back. A second machine that has to land before the crew clocks in. A week with three moves and one trailer.

Give us the order the superintendent wants them on the ground and the hour the site will take the first one. We can sequence days. We will not stack past the deck rating. Standing text threads work better than a new story every morning. Email [email protected] with the fleet numbers if you want the week on one list.

Dozer and Loader Transport

Dozer and loader transport is the other half of the construction book. Dozers want a solid approach. Loaders show up on commercial pads and rental returns all week. We use the same style of deck we use for an excavator. The chains change with the machine.

Tell us if the dozer is going onto sand. Tell us if the loader still has a full bucket pose that adds width. Photos help. A loader can start the week on one pad and finish it on another. We price the miles you give us.

The same trailer and driver also cover other jobs. If yours is different, see our heavy haul trucking and farm equipment transport pages and the Hillsborough County service area.

Mini Excavator Transport

Mini excavator transport is the compact machine on a new street. Osceola and Polk pads eat these units. They still need a real plan when the street is unfinished or the cul-de-sac will not take a long trailer.

We may drop on a collector and walk the machine in. That costs less than putting a trailer into a ditch. We do not sell mini excavators. We move the ones already on your rental ticket.

Construction Equipment Transport in Tampa

Construction equipment transport in Tampa is warehouse work, road work, and dealer-to-hole runs. I-75 and I-4 both work when height allows. We check that before we leave Frostproof.

We drop where the superintendent points and get off the street. If the hole is in Polk and the machine is still in Tampa, that is a regular run. Send both addresses. Security lots want a COI. Ask before we roll west.

Skid Steer and Compact Machine Hauling to Job Sites

Compact machines are everywhere on a job site. Skid steers, compact track loaders, and small excavators move from one task to the next. They are small enough to ride with a larger machine, but they still need to be chained correctly.

We handle these as part of a bigger move or on their own. A compact machine on a lowboy deck is a waste of capacity, so we often pair a small unit with a larger one for the same trip. Send both and we plan the sequence.

  • Make and model of each machine
  • Attachments that ride along
  • Which machine the site needs first
  • Whether the drop is a street, a pad, or a staging area

A skid steer with a bucket on has a different width than one without. If you want the bucket on, tell us. For the larger machines in the same move, our excavator and dozer transport page covers what we need from you.

Moving Equipment Between Job Sites and Rental Yards

Construction rarely stays in one place. A crew finishes one pad and starts the next. A machine that was on site Monday is due at the rental yard Friday. Each move has a pickup, a drop, and a time limit.

We handle both directions. From a job site, we need the address, the gate code, and who will release the machine. To a rental yard, we need the closing time and the name of the person who signs for it.

Rental yards often have a specific area for returns. Ask your yard where the truck should go, and tell us. A truck sent to the wrong gate loses time.

If you rent from a company with several locations, tell us which one. Two yards in the same city can be miles apart. We also work with fleet managers who return several machines on the same day. For those, a short list with the order is the easiest way to plan.

Construction Equipment Delivery to New Subdivisions and Road Projects

New subdivisions and road projects are the places where construction equipment is needed most, and the places where access is hardest. Streets may be unpaved. Curbs may not be finished. Drainage ditches may run along the road.

A long trailer needs room. On a street with a cul-de-sac or a sharp turn, we may meet on the nearest paved road and walk the machine in. That is faster than backing a long deck into a tight spot.

Roads under construction can change from week to week. A gate that was open last Monday may be closed this Monday. Call the site contact before the truck leaves and confirm the entrance.

In Osceola County and across Polk, new construction is steady, and we see these entrances often. Send a photo of the site entrance and any markings the crew uses. A superintendent who tells us where the machine should land makes the drop smooth.

Fleet Moves and Multi-Machine Construction Hauls

A fleet move is more than one machine on more than one trip. A rental company shifts units between yards. A contractor mobilizes a crew with an excavator, a loader, and a roller. Each machine has a weight, a size, and a place to be.

We work out the sequence with you. Some machines can ride together if the deck rating allows. Others need their own trip because of weight or width. We do not stack past the deck rating.

  • A list of machines with make and model
  • The order the site wants them
  • Pickup and drop addresses for each
  • Dates and windows for the whole move

A written list is the easiest way to plan this. Email [email protected] with the fleet details, or call 863-632-7302. If a machine is over legal size, the permit work is in our oversized load transport service. Tell us early so the permit can be ready for the day.

Construction Equipment Transport Around Orlando, Lakeland, and Plant City

Orlando sits on I-4 and the beltway. Construction there includes commercial pads, warehouses, and road work. Security lots are common, so we ask for a gate code and a COI request before we leave Frostproof.

Lakeland sits between Tampa and Orlando on I-4. Industrial streets and rental yards are close together, so same-day moves are common. Traffic on I-4 can slow a trailer in the afternoon.

Plant City is east of Tampa on I-4 and SR-60. Farm land mixes with new development, so we see both construction and farm loads. Pads can be grass or sand, so we ask about the surface.

See our Plant City page for more on that area. Wherever the job is, the best plan starts with both addresses, the machine list, and the hour the site opens. We will tell you what fits on a single trailer day and what needs a second trip. If a security lot wants a COI, ask for it early so the paperwork is ready when the truck arrives.
